Hmmm....FLOBOT....what can I say?
Well, Jesse has gone from such skull crushing tunes like Tantric and Bullet For My Valentine....to.....umm....FLOBOT. I am speachless.
Now, I will admit it is a "catchy" tune and I found myself singing it later in the evening...but, as to whether it should be a staple of the 98Rock playlist or not???? Personally, I feel it is kind of like an anorexic chick at a buffet....it just don't fit in. This is what it would sound like if Weezer and Sublime had a kid...and maybe throw in a little Bloodhound Gang.
As I said, it is a catchy little diddy....just not good enough for 98Rock!! What do you all think???

While I do agree that it's not necessarily the kind of rock that makes your head spin.... I do have to say that I completely like the song! It was totally fun, catchy, and reminded me of (like I said before) SUBLIME smashed with LINKIN PARK. Both of which I like (ok I LOVE Sublime). So. Yeah. It's a go for me, even if it's not bangin' ass rock.... Good job, Kage. You've officially given me something else to jam to. |

I like the flobots pretty well, solid band. Though it's less evident in this song than other's, they're certainly not rock. And certainly not the hard rock I've come to expect from 98Rock. But like I say, I kind of like it, and I think they've got a good message to spread - I personally hae no problem with it, but it really doesn't fit the 98rock bill at all. |

I agree with all of you, this song is deffinatly something weird and extremely catchy. I was walking around the house today singing "I CAN RIDE MY BIKE WITH NO HANDLEBARS!" and everyone around me was just like, "oh god!". And yea, its deffinatly not traditional 98 Rock, but its ok. I mean, I can survive through it when it plays. The way its so unique reminds me of the uniqueness as was Badly Drawn Boy's "Year of the Rat". It was played on rock stations, and what not, but had no rock meaning, or sound at all. But hey, what can I say, Flobots, Handlebars, I give it a thumbs up. |

The Lyrics are poor IMO, however, I really enjoy the music and the rhythm though. I would classify it more as some type of Ska (rap Ska?) though then rock so I guess i'm just indifferent. |

Hey ya'll! This is why we do this little gimmick. I want to know what you think of certain tracks. I appreciate the comments and hope ya'll stay involved and we can continue to dissect other cool songs. Remember that not everything will be able to fit in a "box". Sometimes we have to push those boundries just to see. Thanx! -j |
