Hey fellow Rockers, hows it going?

I had this great idea... A monthly or bi-monthly BBQ.

I figure we find a nice park, that already has a girll there, or someone can bring their own... or at somebodys BIG backyard that already has a nice size grill...

Everyone pitches in 5 dollars for food/drinks/snacks etc... make it byob if ya'll want to drink.  I personally want to have a good time and meet all ya'll Rock-O-Holics.

I know it kind of conflicts with the charity events that we all want to be doing.  But if you all are willing to try and make it work, I'm willing to try too.

I know Rigger and BigWilly were working on setting something up like this a few weeks ago. I'm not sure how far they got but they were planning something.

A nice place to go is Desoto Park, they have a section where you can bring your dogs (a dog beach, a dog park and a dog wash) and there are public restrooms and grills (I think grills, could be wrong) all right there. Far for some, 1.5 hours for me, but a really nice beach and set-up if your making a day of it.

sounds great but if it's at a park, no drinking...(and we all know how rig loves his beer)....plus i heard Go likes to hit the sauce as well....j/k....if we all could do without the alcohol, (i vote no on that by the way) then that would be a great idea....desoto park is perfect and it's prolly very centrally located....

also, i think it would be a great idea to chip in on the mains like hot dogs, burgars and maybe chicken or ribs like bri said but i was thinking also, maybe everyone should bring a big a$$ side dish too....

just putting my 2 cents in

Right on Go, and John.  I think Ft. Desoto is the place to go.. I think it's pretty central if you include those in bradington who also listen and enjoy 98rock.  I was thinking it would be even more awesome if we could get the Jocks to broadcast from the park... Just an idea.  No alcohol, that sounds good.  We could make this a family event, it's the perfect place to bring the kids and not have to worry about them tooo much...  There should be a list of things that everyone should pitch in in bringing... Like, sodas, diet/regular, lemonaid, fruitpunch, other beverages, chips, salsa, party trays that have like fruts/veggies on them.  And of course... hot dogs, hamburgers, maybe steaks if you all want to invest in your own..., that means then we need to bring ketchup mayo, mustard, chesse, pickles, relish, buns, paper plates, plastic sliverware,  trash bags to clean up after ourself...  Just that kind of stuff...
