I'm just sayin'.  The month sucks.

Yesterday was a really rough, personal day that I won't get into.  A day of commemoration to our son that passed in '01.  On the 28th, it'll the 17th Anniversary of my dad's death.  Two things that are extremely hard on me.

So, I had myself all psyched up for Mayhem Fest.  Rob *LOVES* Slipknot and I was really hoping to get him there.  I was all working towards it without problem, UNTIL... we get a phone call from our new Home Owners insurance people saying that even though we paid them $2,000 that they asked for, they had the property RE-ASSESSED without our knowledge and now with that new value, they want an ADDITIONAL $1,400.00 .... by JULY 30th!!!!

People, it's JULY 19th!!!  So, here I am to come up with $1400 MORE in what... 11 days.  OK, so pretty much there goes EVERYTHING.  Any idea of getting me a car to get to SCHOOL when it re-starts in the Fall and going to Mayhem Fest is absolutely outta the question now.  This bomb has me completely stressed out and it's really frustrating b/c I was using Mayhem to keep my mind off the NEGATIVE things that this month always holds for me. 

So... yeah.  July f'n sucks!!!

Even *I* want the Buckhead Show back!!!

And I was all about giving Lex & Terry a try.  I haven't been the hugest BS show fan in the world (all hail the KAGE KULT!) but I have tried for two days to be open-minded with the L&T show.

And quite frankly...

I am not impressed!!!!!!!!  I'm BORED!

Oh, and while I am at it.... They are JERKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and I'm already sick and tired of hearing them talk down to their callers/listeners.  It shows a complete lack of appreciation in my opnion...

....The Rockoholics are looking to get those of us who listen to 98 Rock to get together once a month (12 days a year) to donate our time to a local organization (charity of course). This would be a great way to get good publicity to the station as well as a great environment for us to meet one another on a face to face basis.

We just brought it up tonight so there should be a lot of information to come your way in the very near future. Myself, BigWilly, Ron, Go, BRI, Di....... yeah a lot of the Rockoholics are in.... are you?

Whatever you do... don't get the sneezes when you're tryin' to do a shot of Jerry's. 

My tummy hurts so I decide to grab a shot.  Ya know.  Soothe the soul a little... relax and calm down about my upset stomach, etc...

So, anyways... I grab the large bottle of Jerry's outta the freezer and start fillin the shot glass.... and.... ACHOOOOO!  F'n spilled Jerry's on the counter and just about lost the shot glass to the tile floor.  So, I fix that situation and grab a new shot and just as I swallow, before I can even grab my Diet Coke for a chaser... ACHOOOOOOO! 

F'N A, Dude. 

DO NOT SNEEZE WHILE DRINKING should be on the label...

And that's all I gotta say 'bout that.

First off.... hey to everyone out there in Rock-o-Holic land. =)

Sometimes I am amazed at people. 

I'm driving home from work today, and I see this kid literally chuck an entire bag full of McDonalds trash on the side of the road.  I mean... really???  WHO DOES THAT?  I'm no tree hugger, or major LIVE GREEN or non of that bullsh*t, but damn.  Can we at least throw our trash in the trash can?  Tampa is already looked down upon as a dirty city and THIS IS WHY!  Clean up after yourself!!!

I stop at 7-11 to pay for gas (that's a whole other blog in itself.... f'n prices are INSANE!!) and I hand the cashier a $20 and said "20 on pump 5."  She opens the register and gives me $25.  Are you serious?????  If I knew people were that stupid, I'd have parked at pump 300 or something and put like a grand in my tank..........

Ran out to grab a new large bottle of Sailor Jerry's 'cause we're almost out... and you know I can't have a freezer EMPTY of Jerry's.  Well, either I'm a complete lush or the word is out on Jerry's because we had to go to THREE, count 'em, THREE different liquor stores before someone had a large bottle of Jerry's in stock!!!! 

On a good note, I accomplished everything at work that I needed too, including all the stuff that I didn't get to when I was *sick* [read: sick of work] on Monday.  So, that's always a good feeling to go home with.  Got online and Jesse Kage had PANTERA blarrin' from my speakers.  Gotta love that!!!
